Welcome home, Stacy Nockowitz!: An Author Visit In-Person

Join us in welcoming home Stacy Nockowitz, at the Cherry Hill Public Library! Ms. Nockowitz will discuss the historical and Jewish cultural background behind her award-winning middle grade novel, The Prince of Steel Pier. Attendees will also have an opportunity to meet Ms. Nockowitz, ask questions, and get her book signed! Inkwood Books of Haddonfield will be selling copies of her book at the event.

Stacy Nockowitz is an author, middle school librarian, and former language arts teacher with 30+ years of experience in middle school education. The Prince of Steel Pier, her first novel, won the 2022 National Jewish Book Award for Middle Grade Literature and was named as a Sydney Taylor Book Award Notable Book of 2023. Tablet Magazine named The Prince of Steel Pier as one of the best Jewish children's books of 2022, and the book was a PJ Our Way selection in October of 2022.

Ms. Nockowitz is a proud Cherry Hill native and a graduate of Kellman Brown Academy and Cherry Hill High School East. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Brandeis University and holds Master's Degrees from Columbia University Teachers College (M.A. in Education) and Kent State University (Master's in Library and Information Sciences). She is also a student at Vermont College of Fine Arts, where she is pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Writing for Children and Young Adults.
