Artist Reception: Lives in Motion - Captured In-Person
With over 50 years of dedicated practice, Vera’s journey in photography has evolved from working in her own darkroom with black and white film to embracing the versatility of digital photography. Throughout the decades, Vera photographed diverse genres, including wildlife, landscapes, cityscapes and people, capturing moments that inspire.
Vera’s husband Bernie was the first to introduce her to photography and they purchased their first cameras as graduate students. While Vera was in law school and raising three daughters, photography took a back seat. Yet, the passion was always there waiting.
For the last 20 years, Vera has been fortunate to combine her passion for traveling the world with photography. Recently, street photography has captivated her. Its dynamic and spontaneous form allows her to connect with the world, capturing candid moments. At 73 years old, Vera continues to seek new perspectives and stories through the lens. She strives to tell the stories of those she sees.
