SUMMARY:ESOL Virtual Book Club-A Long Walk to Water by  Linda Sue Park
DESCRIPTION:This book club is for students who want to improve their oral 
 and reading comprehension skills. Each week students will read at home a 
 few chapter of the chosen book. Then students will meet online with other 
 students and the teacher.  Students will read aloud and the story will be 
 discussed for comprehension. The teacher supports the students by sending 
 out vocabulary lists the week before.In this teacher-guided class\, 
 students will meet to read and discuss a book at a level appropriate for 
 intermediate ESOL students. It is expected that students will read on their 
 own between classes and look up words or phrases with which they are not 
 familiar. The teacher welcomes questions about anything the student does 
 not understand.
